Mission · What drives the work
Build software that actually gets used.
Proxima Centauri exists to build a small set of well-made software products. Each one solves a real problem, is owned end to end, and doesn't need to be a platform to be useful.
THE MISSION
“Make software that works. Not software that demos well. Not software that scales before it's useful. Software that people open, use, and come back to.”
How we work
Five lines we try to keep.
Build useful software
The output is the point. Tools that solve nothing are the wrong kind of impressive.
Avoid unnecessary complexity
The simpler shape is almost always the better shape. Find it before shipping.
Own the work end to end
From idea to deployed product. No handoffs to agencies, no half-built things.
Stay practical
Decisions grounded in what works, not what looks interesting on a roadmap.
Build in public honesty
No inflated claims, no fake traction, no case studies that didn't happen.
What this is not
Not a consultancy
Products, not services. The company builds things; it doesn't take project work.
Not a platform play
We're not building infrastructure for other builders. We're building tools for end users.
Not fake proof
No invented metrics, no "trusted by" logos until they're earned. The work speaks when it ships.
